Care at Home - Private or Funded
We understand how hard it is to know where to start when you need help to stay at home and you’re looking for the best care options. Increasing care needs no longer mean a move away from your home and into a residential aged care facility.
We strongly believe that staying amongst familiar people and surroundings can help you live a more active and enjoyable life as you age, even as your care needs increase. It's easier to keep your mind and body strong in your own environment where you can continue to be stimulated by the things you've always loved.
If you or your loved one needs high level care, Angels in Aprons can provide 24-hour support with round the clock one-on-one attention unlike any available in residential aged care.
Depending on your circumstances, you might choose privately funded care at home or apply for government-funded support. Many clients use a combination of private and government-funded support services.
We know the importance of maintaining choice and control over the decisions you make every day that make you who you are.
The advantages of staying at home include:
- Choosing what you would like to eat, and being part of the preparation process
- Choosing when you would like to eat and where, whether it's at the table or outside in your garden
- Choosing when you would like to get out of bed
- Showering or bathing at your leisure
- Choosing your clothes
- Daily assistance with grooming from an Angel who will take the time to make it a time for you to look forward to.
- Assistance/prompting with toileting through the day or night
- Medication prompting and support
- A genuine companion 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
- Help with enjoying the activities you've always loved to help you stay engaged
- Registered Nurses and personal carers to meet all your care needs

Angels in Aprons specialises in designing tailored care to meet your individual needs. Level 3: supports people with intermediate care needs (eg daily medical prompting, meal support, domestic support, shopping, a daily visit and a weekly outing)
Level 4: supports people with high level care needs (all the above plus more hours to cover nursing, dementia care, wound care. Our Angels provide flexible, holistic support including clinical and nursing support in your home to suit your changing needs.)
